London based architect and artist. How I see the world is greatly influenced by my passion for performing arts and my background in architecture.
Artistically, I concentrate my attention on creations that people can get close to, around and especially into, which demands from the audience a far more active role; I am after a kind of installations that visitors can experience with all their senses. Another aspect that interests me is the multiple possibilities that these structures offer. They are based on the principle that they can be modified or evolve. These alterations, made by performers, visitors, the surrounding or the structure itself, wish to highlight the moment, the present. Eventually, my work seeks to be alert and responsive to the context and site in which it is placed. In addition, working in the public space emphasize my wish to make interventions accessible to as much people as possible. In parallel to these projects, I work as project draughtsman at English National Opera. |
