WORKSHOP: THE ORDER OF TIME
Perhaps it might be said rightly that there are three times: a time present of things past; a time present of things present; and a time present of things future. For these three do coexist somehow in the soul, for otherwise I could not see them. The time present of things past is memory; the time present of things present is direct experience; the time present of things future is expectation.

This workshop reflects on how decisions and gestures made in the past can have consequences in the present, and how we want to relate to the past from the present. Participants will use a camera to capture movements and actions of fellow workshop attendees. These will be projected whilst building layers of differing, overlapping images.
To project, to compose and to action are key elements in this exercise that will consist in travelling between the past (what is already done), the present (what is current) and the future (how will this be). The participant will develop a script, with room for the unexpected and projection, alongside resources such as memory or rhythm to synchronise the different timings. |
Workshop lead by Francesc Serra Vila Participants (at BE Festival - Birmingham, 5th July 2019): Robin Boon Dale, Eszter, Pau Ferran, Simi Johl, Stephan Quinci, Antonio de Rosa, Mattia Russo and Ben Waddington. |
