(INES)TABLE(INES)TABLE is an installation-performance that explores the aftermath of an encounter, an ecological disaster, a natural phenomenon, a political decision… external events with a destructive (and transformative) power in and outside of oneself.
Francesc is an architect working in the intersection between performance and scenography, interested in the temporary and changing character of reality, questioning structures apparently solid and unchangeable. At LAJUAN gallery, Francesc presented a one-to-one installation performance, where each audience member individually would reformulate their next 24 hours. The encounter in itself is part of a sensitive and living process that embraces risk and vulnerability, and that through improvisation invites new possibilities to spring in the here and now. |

"Disaster provides a form of societal shock which disrupts habitual, institutionalized patterns of behavior and renders people amenable to social and personal change".
Charles Fritz, Disasters and Mental Health: Therapeutic Principles Drawn from Disaster Studies (1961/1996) (INES)TABLE was presented on the 22nd of February 2019, at LAJUAN gallery. This installation performance was conceived as a 10-minute long one-to-one experience. The external event evoked on that occasion was the 23-F, 1981 Spanish coup d'état attempt; within 24 hours of the performance 38 years before, the coup d'état attempt took place. Special thanks to LAJUAN gallery, and all the people who participated during the creative process (Olga, Andreas, Mira, Yago, Amaia and Ernesto) and each one of the audience--participants. |
